Help students improve their academic standing, overall confidence and motivation, and attitude through one-on-one tutoring, math challenges, and character development. Students get paired with volunteers for homework help and mentoring. This opportunity occurs on both Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 5:15PM. Volunteers are expected to commit to one semester of tutoring on either day the program is offered.

Description
We help students with educational, personal, social, and cultural growth. Our target population includes both U.S. born and recent immigrant and refugee youth from Louisville's Hispanic community.
Adelante Programs:
- Mentoring & Enrichment: weekly presentations, workshops and field trips which provide academic support, life skills development, and career opportunities for students and families.
- After School Tutoring and Homework Help: offered on Wednesdays at Thomas Jefferson Middle School and Thursdays at Olmsted Academy North
- Parent Involvement: quarterly workshops and ongoing parent support.
- College Readiness: study skills, ACT preparation, shadowing opportunities, summer "bridge" programs, university visits.
