Our goal: To prevent youth substance use.
Plan and apply evidence-based strategies, Statewide Mass Media, and Positive Youth Development training within the Teller County community. Work alongside youth to help create opportunities for young people that build skills, foster trusted relationships, and create healthy behaviors.
Youth between the ages of 9-25 can volunteer! Youth voice is important. As adults, we can make decisions that we think will benefit our young people but in reality, it is young people who know how to reach other young people. Youth opportunities include

Teller County is an engaged mountain community that empowers and supports its youth through prevention and education to promote healthy, thriving families.
SATURN of Teller County consists of residents trained in the Communities That Care process to effectively prevent youth substance use in our county. Through this tested and effective approach, the coalition has successfully unified the county to work together ensuring that youth in our community will be an active part of the shared decision-making within the coalition.
