NOT ACTIVE DURING THE PANDEMIC. BUT IF YOU'RE STILL INTERESTED IN THIS OPPORTUNITY WHEN WE'RE ALL ALLOWED BACK INTO FACILITIES, PLEASE REACH OUT.

Volunteer Your Empathetic Support by Checking-in with the Bereaved Family/Caregiver of a Hospice Patient!

At Brookdale Hospice, we would love for you to partner up and assist our Bereavement Coordinator with bereavement follow-up phone calls. The best way to offer support is to listen. Words are often not necessary. Let the bereaved guide you in what they need!

Whether you're a student (Social work, End of Life Doula, Nursing, Chaplain, Psychology, etc) or just an amazing human who wants to support grieving families and caregivers, you will receive special training at Brookdale Hospice to become a part of our holistic team. As a bereavement supporter, you will provide a safe space for a grieving caregiver. It is important for caregivers to acknowledge their grief and to talk about it. You are there to listen! :)

"Grief never ends but it changes. It's a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith. It is the price of love." - Unknown

If you have experience with bereavement or counseling, or interested in learning the bereavement program, please call or email:
