Carteret Local Food Network

There are a number of ways you can get involved with Carteret Local Food Network by volunteering your time to become a team player.

Currently we are looking for help in the following areas:

  • Veggie Van and Mobile Market staffing
  • Visit NC Farms administrative help in Carteret, Craven, and Onslow counties
  • Planning for our Farms, Food, & Friends farm to table dinners for 2021
  • Planning for our Seasonal Foods Culinary Classes for 2021
  • Guest chef and class instructors
  • Crop Mobs
  • Blog and newsletter writers
  • and more!

The mission of Carteret Local Food Network is to strengthen the connection between Carteret County, NC consumers and Carteret County, NC farmers.

Description

Carteret Local Food Network (CLFN) was formed in 2008 to help build momentum and spread the word about what's happening locally so interested citizens can find ways to increase access to locally farmed foods and make choices that support our local farming families. Our local farming families work very hard to bring you nutritious, seasonal produce picked at the peak of ripeness instead of optimal shipping sturdiness and well-cared for poultry, pork and other meats. We need to support their work by choosing to shop differently.
