Make a positive difference in the life of an actively dying hospice patient! As a Vigil Volunteer, you provide comfort and create a peaceful presence for the patient at beside when the patient’s death is imminent. Whether it’s just sitting beside the patient, listening to music, watching TV, or holding hands-physically being there for them will help put the patient at ease and keep them from feeling alone during their last days.
Important note: volunteers are not allowed to assist with patient personal hygiene.
Become a valued part of Brookdale Hospice Team; please call Gail Wiselogel Volunteer Coordinator, gwiselogel@brookdale.com or 916-614-9517, to schedule a personal interview.
