Puppy raisers needed! 4Gold Service and Rescue is seeking to build a pool of puppy raisers who will take a puppy into their homes for 8-10 months and help them to reach training milestones until the puppies are placed with their forever person. If you are 18 or older (or have an adult in the home who will oversee your participation), have transportation to get to training locations in the Layton to Brigham City region, have full range of motion to work with large dogs, and are assertive enough to say no to people when training in public, we need you! You do not need training experience, but you do need to be good with animals and be willing to work with the puppy every day on basic obedience and behaviors as taught by the trainers. We provide veterinary care and can help with food if needed. Incentives will include gift cards to various dog-friendly businesses as the puppy reaches training milestones every 6-8 weeks. Contact us to apply to become a puppy raiser. We will be having new puppies to home starting in summer of 2023.
