ORGANIZATION: Community Action Partnership of Orange County

The Giving Farm is a farm-to-food bank program that works to promote student and community engagement in the California agriculture industry through the collaboration between, the OC Food Bank, Westminster High School Agriculture Sciences Program, Solutions for Urban Agriculture, and the OC Farm Bureau. The program expects to deliver over 200,000 pounds of produce annually for consumption by low-income communities. This enhances opportunities for students and volunteers to learn about urban agriculture and the connection to local food networks, and also providing nutrition education about the importance of healthy eating and active lifestyles for at-risk youth.

Come out to the farm and assist us with our seasonal activities! We are looking for groups of volunteers to help with our planting, weeding, harvesting, and other special projects. After expressing interest, our opportunity coordinator will follow-up with further information.

Volunteer hours: M-F, 8:30a-2:30p (Volunteer shifts run 2.5hrs-4hrs)
Saturdays available upon request!
