Foster Army Animal Rescue (FAAR)

  • 19 people are interested

We take in domesticated animals most in danger of getting put to sleep at the shelter. This includes dogs, cats, rabbits, rats, hamsters, and more. We focus on animals that are underage, seniors, special needs, injured, ill, behavior issues, and just overlooked. Food, medical care, and training is provided; fosters provide a safe and loving home, and take animals to vet appointments and adoption events until adopted.

About Foster Army Animal Rescue (FAAR)

3711 Central Ave, Riverside, CA 92506, US

Mission Statement

FAAR's mission is rescuing vulnerable at-risk companion animals from animal control facilities and placing them in caring foster homes until they can be placed in permanent homes. A key requirement is raising funds to support medical/behavioral treatment, vaccinations, microchips, food, supplies and spay/neuter surgeries.

FAAR is a foster based non-profit in Riverside and is currently recruiting for foster volunteers. Fosters provide shelter, socialization, medical care, if needed and love while FAAR provides all the training, supplies and support.
Volunteers are also needed to help at the Pet Rescue Thrift Store which is a source of revenue for FAAR.
FAAR values its volunteers and understands that it is only with their efforts it can accomplish its mission.
