Description
Step up and join Partners in Care Foundation by volunteering as a Workshop Facilitator or a Guest Healthcare Professional to make a profound difference in the lives of older adults through interactive workshops on low-impact exercises, fall-prevention and more!
Partners in Care Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of older adults in Los Angeles County through direct services. Our Community Wellness Department is dedicated to improving health outcomes for older adults by providing free evidence-based programs to low-income seniors in their own communities.
Workshop Facilitators have opportunities to be trained to facilitate one or more evidence-based programs that are between 6 to 10 weeks long. Training sessions to become a facilitator vary by program, from 3 hours online to 4 days in person. Training is arranged and paid for by Partners in Care Foundation.
Guest Healthcare Professionals provide a link to the medical community for older adults enrolled in our fall prevention program, A Matter of Balance. Guest Healthcare Professionals interact directly with workshop participants to respond to questions and provide a demonstration about falls - we’ll even provide you with a guide!
