Compassionate volunteers are needed to help bring light back into the life of our community's seniors by providing them with volunteer companionship and assistance. You can make helpful visits or phone calls, provide medical transportation for seniors who need assistance, and assist with our home safety check program.

Mission Statement
Open Your Heart to a Senior Alle-Kiski area, a United Way of Southwestern PA initiative, is a program that seeks to enhance the quality of life for persons 60 years and older who reside in Lower and Upper Burrell, New Kensington and Arnold by providing volunteer companionship and assistance.
Description
Screened, trained volunteers provide free services to seniors such as helpful visits, telephone reassurance calls, escorts to doctor appointments, grocery shopping, friendly help around the home, caregiver relief, correspondence assistance, and referrals to other programs that assist older adults.
