POSITION SUMMARY
The Veteran Support Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruitment, onboarding and training of volunteers that provide programs that Soldiers’ Angels offers through the VA Medical Centers across the nation. As one of the only organizations in the country approved to work within the VA Medical Centers, it is our responsibility to serve our nation’s veterans the best we possibly can. As deployments continue to draw down, Soldiers’ Angels is shifting excess assets to support this population. Eventually VA Medical Center support will be the primary mission of the organization. With so many nonprofits focused only on Post 9-11 wounded, ill and injured, we are one of the few organization focusing on veterans of all generations. The goal of this position is to work with the Veteran Support Volunteer Manager to grow the veteran support Soldiers’ Angels provides to our veterans.
