ORGANIZATION: Down Syndrome Association of Northeast Ohio

We are looking for young adult mentors for our Social Clubs. They will meet once monthly in the evenings and each group will consist of 8-12 individuals aged 21 and above with Down syndrome. The individuals with Down syndrome will choose the activity and location each month and each group is based on location. We will need mentors in all areas of the Cleveland/Medina/Akron area. The mentors are there to facilitate social interactions and have fun! You will be compensated for your expenses for each activity.

The Down Syndrome Association of Northeast Ohio provides support for over 1000 families and individuals with Down syndrome in the Northeast Ohio area. DSANEO is the primary resource for families and communities regarding Down syndrome, where all people with Down syndrome are accepted, included and empowered. DSANEO envisions a community where people with Down syndrome have limitless opportunities and the ability to pursue their dreams.

Description

Established in 1982, DSANEO is a not for profit organization that directly serves individuals with Down syndrome and their families from birth through adulthood - we do this through education, social engagement and activities, employment opportunities, and advocacy.
