The Children's Sports & Fitness Expo is a full day of exercise, fitness and fun. During the event, children are engaged in a variety of sports and fitness activities such as fencing, tennis, golf, volleyball, soccer, gymnastics and much more. In addition, there are also health screenings and nutrition classes. Through this event, families are exposed to programs and services that are available to help improve their health, thereby reducing the risk of obesity in their lives. In addition, there is also an awards presentation along with live entertainment during the day.

Body Sculpt of New York, Inc. is an organization whose purpose and objective is to educate parents and children about childhood obesity and offer healthy lifestyle alternatives, particularly in physical fitness and nutrition to raise their mental and physical self esteem.

Description

The organization has been around for 25 years and during that time, our main focus has been to educate parents and children on the importance of physical fitness and proper nutrition. The Children's Sports & Fitness Expo has been around since 2004. Our goal is to effectively impact the children in New York City about the importance of good health and exercise, and then to eventually have this event replicated in other cities throughout the country.

  • We value our volunteers time, but if you can volunteer from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., that would be ideal, if not, we can modify your work schedule for that day.
  • This is a children's event and as such, we are asking for our volunteers full cooperation and support in helping to make the event a success on behalf of the children.
