Do you love events and enjoy managing people and details to make amazing things happen?

This volunteer position will help shape our events strategy to engage and inspire people to donate their good stuff to positively impact the community and the environment.

It is an exciting time to join us - We are a growing social venture and you will have the opportunity to shape our path. Our goal is to become the most nationally recognized and useful resource for people who want to donate items where they will do good.

This role will take the lead for events including our 5k fundraiser in May, working in partnership with the rest of the board and volunteers.

Experience with event planning and management is required. Prior board experience is highly desired. The board role is a 2 year commitment from Jan 2020 (or whenever elected) to Dec 2021.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 18
  • 2-3 hours/week including a quarterly board meeting and committee meetings as needed, planning, and managing creation of content. Meetings are the second Thursday of the month from 6-7pm.
  • We are looking for a skilled professional, a self-starter who is forward thinking and creative, excellent at managing projects, and has a knack for inspiring others.
