Office/Admin Volunteer: North Branch

Ecumen Hospice

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

ADMINISTRATIVE VOLUNTEERS assist the entire team by providing a variety of admin activities including compiling patient charts, entering volunteer hours, assembling admission packets, and more! Our office team is a fun, relaxed atmosphere and we'd love for you to join us. Volunteers should have basic office skills (filing, data entry, packet assembly) and adhere to strict patient confidentiality. Admin volunteers serve during our regular business hours, Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm at one of our branch offices (Oakdale or North Branch)

HAVE A MORE ADVANCED SKILL OR LOOKING FOR GROUP OPPORTUNITIES? Volunteers with advanced skills are welcome to also join our behind-the-scenes support team (marketing, recruiting, graphic design, statistics, etc). Let us know what you're interested in doing, and we may be able to tailor the volunteer opportunity to meet your schedule, abilities and interests! We very occasionally would have a need for a small group (max of 5 people) to assist with administrative tasks.

Mission Statement

Description

Hospice is an incredibly personal experience. It’s about love and support, as well as making someone comfortable. At Ecumen Hospice, we believe that each person continues to have great significance, and deserves respect and honor in their final season of life. We provide care that empowers people to live each day as vibrantly and as fully as possible. We also walk alongside and support families through this journey, and during the 13-month bereavement period after their loved one dies.

Service Area: We serve patients in their residence, which may include private homes, skilled nursing, assisted living, or independent living facilities. Many of our patients live in Ecumen owned or managed communities. **We serve the entire Twin Cities metro area. Our current highest needs are Brooklyn Center, Apple Valley, Chisago City, and North Branch**

We need...

**Companion, vigil and pet therapy volunteers to provide one-on-one comfort, support and friendship to hospice patients and families in their final months, weeks and days;

**Life Review volunteers to help document our patient's lives (through video and/or photography) as a keepsake for families;

**Office and Admin volunteers to provide support to our care team out in community;
