ORGANIZATION: Happily Ever After Animal Sanctuary Inc

Are you a social media guru with an unending love for helping rescue animals? Do you find energy in telling stories and connecting hearts? Does brand-building and the thought of producing engaging content get you excited? If so, we have the perfect volunteer opportunity for you!

We are looking for a qualified social media strategy lead - either an individual or an agency/organization team - to join our volunteer family. Our ideal volunteer(s) can develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase our following, grow our web traffic, and build upon a brand that we’re very proud of.

Objective: Develop and carry out a social media strategy that creates a cohesive story across HEA.

Responsibilities:

  • Design social media strategies that
    • Tell stories and connect hearts
    • Promote effective fundraising initiatives
    • Engage and foster community
    • Build and promote a strong brand
  • Manage, create, and publish creative original, high-quality content
  • Oversee all active social media accounts, ensuring up-to-date content
  • Facilitate community engagement by responding to queries and comments, monitoring messages, etc.
  • Assist in building and leading a team of content writer(s), photographer(s), videographer(s), graphic designer(s), etc. to produce amazing results
  • Monitor user engagement and seek ways to optimize content
  • Identify networks of collaborators, promoters, and influencers to help further the mission
  • Stay in front of social media best practices and new digital technologies

Requirements

  • Passionate about producing positive energy within companion animal welfare
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Proven, hands-on experience using social media to create brand awareness
  • An ability to identify preferences of a target audience and build content that meets them
  • Familiarity with the administration of social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Highly-creative with a strong attention to detail
  • Top notch communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Ability and desire to communicate and work with people across different channels

This role has the flexibility to become a mostly remote volunteer role.
