Provide spiritual support to the Hospice patient and family under the direction of the Hospice chaplain; providing prayer and spiritual guidance to patients and families.
This can include praying with patients, playing/singing songs, reading spiritual passages and providing companionship through presence.

Description
At Affinis Hospice, we recognize the importantance of our volunteers and the difference they make in the lives of our patients. These giving individuals provide a level of comfort and peace of mind not only to our patients, but also their families. Through their nurturing and support, our volunteers devote their time and talent in a number of positive ways, including offering companionship during home visits, running errands and making telephone calls.
In their supportive roles, Affinis Hospice’s dedicated volunteers are an integral part of our team approach
to patient care. Through their spirit and heartfelt support, our volunteers are making a difference in their local communities.
All interested volunteers receive extensive hands-on training before providing care to patients. In addition, background checks and screenings will be conducted.
