ORGANIZATION: Berrien County Parks Department

Volunteers are needed to assist at the Electronics Recycling Collection at the Southeast Berrien County Landfill Recycle Center, 3200 Chamberlain Rd., Buchanan. Volunteers will help direct traffic, unload electronics and components from vehicles, and separate out electronics into different boxes. Volunteers must be 18 years or older (exceptions may be made for 14 - 17 year old when a responsible adult is present). The event runs from 8 a.m. - 12 noon. Volunteers are asked to come 15 minutes early for instruction and training. Up to 5 volunteers are needed.

Description

The Berrien County Parks system consists of Galien River County Park, Love Creek Nature Center and County Park, Madeline Bertrand County Park, Silver Beach County Park, Rocky Gap County Park and the History Center at Courthouse Square. Coordination of the County Recycling and Resource Recovery programs falls under the Parks Department, as well.
