Lantern Community Services champions the independence and well being of New Yorkers vulnerable to homelessness. As a supportive housing organization, we support families who have been previously homeless and youth who have aged out of foster care within our residences. We want to make sure that every child and young adult receives a present regardless if they have a family to turn to. That's why we are working to collecting presents through our annual gift drive.
Once we collect the 463 presents we need, we are looking for some helping hands to wrap all the presents!
We need help from volunteers like you to wrap the gifts that will be distributed to our buildings. We will be holding a gift wrapping event on the week of Dec. 15th. We need a total of 4-5 volunteers!
If you're handy with wrapping paper and some tape, come help out! More importantly, we are following COVID-19 health and safety guidelines and require all volunteers to wear masks.
