Park at the Trailhead at Fletcher Heights or at the Cigna Medical Group (closed on Saturday) behind the trailhead. The cleanup is on the West side of the wash. Most cleanup will be on the rough area around the trail, although there will be some cleanup in the wash.
We will start the session with a talk about the Butterflies that visit the Wash and have a look at the habitat that supports them. Then we will start picking up trash and moving north along the trail. We will begin to tidy up and return to our cars starting at 10:30am. This area has a terrific variety of birds so we can do some bird watching along the way.

About City of Peoria
Location:
9875 N. 85th Avenue, Peoria, AZ 85345, US
Mission Statement
We connect volunteers with residents to create a positive impact in neighborhoods.
Description
We often have elderly residents contacting the city looking for assistance with yard work, I will work with the volunteer groups and assign them to a resident in need.
Additionally, we have a program called Neighborhood Pride. This is where the City of Peoria selects a neighborhood and provides paint for homes, rock for yards and minor repairs at no cost to the homeowners. All the work is completed by volunteers from around Arizona. If you or your group is interested in volunteering, please feel free to reach out to me and I will be glad to answer any question you may have.
