Editing & Proofreading
To increase the quality and volume of our written content, we are looking for a volunteer to help provide editorial feedback, suggestions, and edits on documents.
Our nonprofit organization produces documents for our Board, funders, and groups we serve. The content consists of strategy documents, short proposals (6-10 pages), issue briefs, reports, and occasionally content for the web.
We need help developing content from original drafts to final versions for distribution. This volunteer opportunity involves suggestions on organization, style, editorial feedback, writing, and copyediting.
The content is usually related to organizing and campaign work on justice, human rights, environmental, refugee protection, anti-gun violence, and public health issues.
The work will be done in our google docs. The time working on the document will be spaced out. To start, we will provide you with context, the goal, background on the audience, and an outline or a draft.
You will organize content, make suggestions on development, or do a rewrite. We will then respond. kicking the document back and forth 2 or 3 times over several days. The final request will be to give it a copyedit. Rinse. Repeat.

Mission Statement
Transforming the advocacy of foundations and nonprofits by mobilizing networks of people to move change forward effectively and efficiently.
Description
The causes we care about are wrestling with how to better network their efforts: climate, democracy, justice, and public health to name a few. The networking challenge is a serious stumbling block for many, if not most, complex social causes. There are people building networks throughout key social movements. They need help. They need access to network building experience. They need a clear framework to unlock ways to approach network building.
Netcentric Campaigns has been working since 2000 to bring thought leadership, experience, skill, guidance, laughter and professionalism to the networking challenges that key movement leaders are facing. Join the newsletter, or read more about Netcentric Campaigns.
