The DSM Book Festival's Event Team (ET) is vital to the Festival's overall success. All ET Members will have the opportunity to work closely alongside staff leading up to and during The Festival. All ETs are assigned specific roles that they will take lead of during The Festival. All ET roles require working efficiently with volunteers, staff and guests to ensure The Festival runs smoothly.
ET roles include:
-Main Stage Coordinator
-Information Booth Coordinator
-Author Pavilion Coordinator
-Volunteer Liaison
-Workshop Coordinator
-Festival Author Liaison
-Kids Room Coordinator

Description
Born in December 2004 under the umbrella of the Greater
Des Moines Partnership, the Downtown Events Group (DEG) produces premier events per year attracting a variety of audiences. Events produced by the DEG are:
- World Food & Music Festival
- Out to Lunch
- Downtown Farmers' Market
- Downtown Winter Farmers' Market
