Office volunteers can help with filing, answering phones, computer entry , mailings as well as different community events.
You will be trained based on your area of interest in the office.
Volunteer Hours and days will be based off of your schedule and availability.
Our office hours are 8am-5pm

Description

Our hospice agency in Southfield Michigan is part of Brookdale's team of 21 hospice agencies nationwide.

Our Goals of Hospice are: self-determined life closure; a natural death; safe and comfortable dying; effective grieving.

Our Hospice Principles include: treating the whole person (physical, emotional, spiritual); emphasis on quality of life, not length of life; considering the family as the unit of care.

  • The office volunteer will need to be on boarded as if they are a paid employee. This onboarding process includes a Drug screen, background check, Two-step TB test and Hospice Training. All paid for and made available through Brookdale.
