The Secretary of the UPHF is an active conduit for communication between the Board and officers, by giving proper notice of any meetings and timely distribution of materials such as agendas and meeting minutes. The Secretary would be knowledgeable of the organization’s records and related materials, assist potential scholarship recipients, and aim to be helpful to the Board, as needed. The candidate would also actively assist with the processing of scholarship applications, and more, to aid in the facilitation of material between applicants, winners, and officers.

The Secretary might attend meetings of the Board of Directors and keep minutes pursuant to the UPHF Minutes Policy, may send out notices of meetings and perform such other duties as the President may from time to time delegate to the Secretary. This position would require the candidate to sign a confidentiality agreement to be compliant with the UPHF Confidentiality Policy, and have basic computer software knowledge - MS Word, Excel, etc. If this sounds like a volunteer position that interests you, all the while helping potential scholarship recipients, we encourage you to apply.
