The Tahoe-Pyramid Trail is now 80% complete, and comprises over 80 miles of trail from Lake Tahoe to Pyramid Lake. Along the way are hundreds of small directional signs to help trail users navigate. Over time these are stolen, faded, worn out, etc. All signs are logged in a very cool GIS system.
The "Sign Boss" is responsible for checking on signs periodically, replacing missing or damaged ones, ordering new signs, and assessing the need for additional signs. Much of the route can be reached by car, but some sections have only walking or riding access.
