The International Spanish Language Academy (ISLA), a preK-6 Spanish immersion and International Baccalaureate World School in Edina, seeks candidates for its nonprofit board of directors for terms beginning in July 2022. ISLA is a public charter school that operates as its own independent school district and thus draws on the community at large for expertise needed to sustain the school and fulfill its mission.
ISLA is specifically looking for interested community members with experience in finance, marketing, and fundraising to serve on its Board of Directors. The ISLA Board is a volunteer board responsible for overseeing the general operations of the school, implementing policies and procedures, and long-term strategic and financial planning.
