ORGANIZATION: ARCY HOSPICE

  • 4 people are interested

Do you need to complete an internship for your Public Health or Community Health degree program? We love working with students and would welcome the opportunity to work with an intern for the Winter/Spring 2020 semester. An Ardent internship will provide an in-depth look into elder care, hospice philosophy and end-of-life issues.

The intern can expect to work with Ardent 4 to 12 hours a week -- and will travel to various locations around DFW. Some possible assignments will be assisting with activities (for example, calling Bingo) at facilities, helping in an administrative way in our Flower Mound office, and shadowing various members of the hospice team (social worker, chaplain, nurse). Find out for yourself why Ardent Hospice was named one of the Top 100 Places to Work in DFW for 2019.

This is an unpaid position.

The ideal candidate will have a heart for the elderly and must able to work well independently. If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please call Nancy, Volunteer Coordinator, at 469-348-0683.
