Volunteer Compost Hauler

DCCK is looking for 1-2 volunteers to haul sealed boxes of food scraps from our Nutrition Lab in NE DC, to Kelly Miller Middle School, also in NE DC, where the food scraps are composted. This will take place every Friday between 8:00am-10:00am. You must provide your own transportation and be able to lift 50 lb boxes.

DC Central Kitchen prepares over 5,000 meals each day with donated food from area food service businesses. DC Central Kitchen also trains unelmployed men and women in the culinary arts.
