NOTE: Due to the current health crisis we are taking appropriate measures to protect our staff, volunteers, and the general public. In compliance with the Seminole County Mask Mandate, we ask that everyone wear a mask and observe social distancing.
IF YOU ARE FEELING ILL OR KNOW YOU HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO SOMEONE WITH COVID PLEASE STAY HOME AND TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!
Volunteering opportunities are temporarily limited due to Corona virus precautions!
Believe it or not, the ability to effectively use Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms are becoming increasingly vital in just about every profession. Volunteer at Habitat for Humanity Seminole-Apopka's ReStore (thrift store) to learn more about using social media as a professional tool!
We are looking for one or two volunteers to come to our store in Sanford 3 times a week (after school) to take photos and write descriptions of items that we have available for sale to post on Facebook and Instragram (using our accounts; it will not be connected to your personal account). This will help not only sell those specific items but also advertise for our store in general to draw in more customers.
If you are a high school student who is interested in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, or just really likes to use social media, this is the perfect opportunity for you! You can earn volunteer hours for Bright Futures or other college scholarships, as well as make contacts and have valuable experience to add to your resume and college applications.
If this sounds like an opportunity for you, email us at eshine@habitat-sa.org.

Mission Statement
Habitat for Humanity in Seminole County & Greater Apopka is an ecumenical, Christian housing ministry that seeks to build and renovate safe, decent, affordable housing in partnership with low- and very low-income residents in Seminole County and Apopka.
Description
While our origins are Christian in nature, we do not discriminate based on race, religion, sexual identity, age or any other factor. Simply put, we seek to give people of all backgrounds a hand up -- not a handout -- in order to ensure a better life and a brighter future. Hardworking & deserving families partner with our organization to achieve the American dream of homeownership. By proving a housing need, demonstrating their ability to pay and fulfilling their partnership requirement, partner families are transformed into homeowners. Habitat Seminole & Apopka has served nearly 130 families in its 20 years, but the need for affordable housing in our commnunity continues to grow. By partnering with local leaders, corporations & small businesses, philanthropic foundations and individuals, we hope to achieve our vision of a world in which everyone has a safe, decent, affordable place to live.
