If you have some fundraising experience and understand how important pets are to our emotional well being, this is an opportunity for you. The Pet Peace of Mind(tm) program is designed to keep pets with their person at the end of life.
With our original grant money, we have been able to provide food, grooming, and routine vet visits to our patient's pets. Our volunteers also walk dogs, clean crates and kennels, and provide other services that have made it possible for our hospice patients to keep their pets with them. We also help with placement when needed.
In order to continue this work, we need to raise our own funds which is where you come in. We don't need a lot but we do need about $1000/year to provide food, grooming, vet visits and occasionally boarding. So if you have some ideas and the follow through to help support this program, I would love to talk with you.
Full hospice training and ongoing support provided.

Hospice care is considered to be the model for quality and compassionate care for people facing a terminal illness. At the center of hospice care is the belief that each of us has the right to die pain-free, with dignity and the comfort of knowing our families will receive the necessary support to allow us to do so.
Overlook Hospice Services provides a program of care to meet the needs of individuals, and their caregivers, nearing the end of life’s journey. Skilled professionals and dedicated volunteers help support both the patient and their families. Hospice Services helps relieve the physical, emotional, and social pain, which enables the seriously ill person to life at home with family, comfort and dignity. The support provides help to cope with the circumstances associated with a terminal illness
Hospice care is a philosophy of care that accepts dying as a natural part of life. When death is inevitable, hospice seeks neither to hasten nor postpone it.
