ORGANIZATION: Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver

The Maintenance and Facilities Volunteer will support the Office Administrator by sharing maintenance and facilities management skills, knowledge, and expertise to maintain Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver’s headquarters building. The volunteer in this position will primarily work independently with administrative support from the Office Administrator, to complete routine and as needed maintenance projects. This is an excellent role for someone interested in hands on "behind the scenes" projects.

Major Responsibilities:
* Overall building upkeep (painting, electrical, plumbing, and repairs)
* Mounting wall hangings
* Moving furniture
* Assisting with trash and recycle systems

Time Commitment:
* 2-3 hours, 1-2 times a week (flexible)
* Additional hours may be requested to support larger projects

Qualifications:
* Basic maintenance knowledge & experience
* Ability to lift 50+ pounds
* Ability to climb ladders
* Understand safe and proper use of dollies
* Willingness to adheres to safety regulations
* Integrity - comfortable working independently with minimal supervision from staff
* Passionate about Habitat’s mission
* Willing to make a long-term commitment
