As an assistant writing coach you will be helping our full time writing coach teach the lesson of the day. This may mean helping and individual child or a small group. We provide the curriculum and all the supplies. The writing curriculum is focused on community service, though it may vary depending on the age range of the students you work with
Students can range in age form 1st-8th grade, depending on the team you working with.

Description
America SCORES Cleveland (SCORES) was founded in the spring of 2004 with free after-school programming for 120 students in four Cleveland Metropolitan School District elementary schools. Since then, programming has expanded based upon community interest and the need for quality after-school programming within our Cleveland Metropolitan K-8 schools. America SCORES calls its student participants poet-athletes to celebrate their creativity and physical activity. America SCORES Cleveland currently serves over 2,000 poet-athletes in 15 schools.
The program provides 10 weeks in fall and 12 weeks in spring season of intensive soccer and literacy arts after-school programming to children, ages 8-15, in separate boys' and girls' teams. In the fall, the literacy arts focus is poetry and creative writing while in the spring, the children engage in service learning and community stewardship.
