America SCORES Cleveland is looking for individuals who are interested in assisting our full time soccer coaches. You will help run soccer practice, either once or twice a week. Soccer knowledge is required.
Students range in age from 1st-5th grade depending on the team you are working with.

Description
America SCORES Cleveland (SCORES) was founded in the spring of 2004 with free after-school programming for 120 students in four Cleveland Metropolitan School District elementary schools. Since then, programming has expanded based upon community interest and the need for quality after-school programming within our Cleveland Metropolitan K-8 schools. America SCORES calls its student participants poet-athletes to celebrate their creativity and physical activity. America SCORES Cleveland currently serves over 2,000 poet-athletes in 15 schools.
The program provides 10 weeks in fall and 12 weeks in spring season of intensive soccer and literacy arts after-school programming to children, ages 8-15, in separate boys' and girls' teams. In the fall, the literacy arts focus is poetry and creative writing while in the spring, the children engage in service learning and community stewardship.

- Each practice is about an hour and twenty minutes. We ask that you stay the entire practice.
- You may help with one practice or two. You may also only help a few times a season, you are not required to help the entire 12 weeks.
