Early Settlement Mediation - Southwest Program
Volunteers for our program become certified mediators, through a process of attending training and hands on experience. In exchange for free training volunteers must agree to donate at least 10 hours per year of their time and talent.
The next Training for volunteers will be February 27-28.
Our program covers the following counties in SW Oklahoma: Beckham, Caddo, Comanche, Cotton, Greer, Jackson, Jefferson, Harmon, Kiowa, Stephens, Tillman and Washita. If you live in, or are willing to travel to, any of these counties, and are interested in becoming a volunteer, we encourage you to contact us.
Note: volunteers who live more than 10 miles from a training site or mediation site will receive reimbursement for travel expenses.

The purpose of the system, as stated in the Act is "to provide to all citizens of this state convenient access to dispute resolution proceedings which are fair, effective, inexpensive, and expeditious."
We provide a neutral, 3rd party, to help those in conflict define issues, explore solutions and reach practical, workable and mutually satisfactory agreements. Volunteers for our program become trained mediators, through a system of training and practical hands on experience. Our mediators cover 12 counties in Southwest Oklahoma helping those in conflict resolve their issues.
