Are you a good listener looking for a meaningful volunteer experience? Interested in helping people coping with a loss?
St. Francis Reflections Lifestage Care bereavement volunteers work closely with our bereavement coordinators to support people who have lost a loved one. Bereavement callers follow a script to check in on survivors and provide supportive listening. Other duties may include assisting bereavement coordinators with memorial services, support groups or special activities. Looking for people who are comfortable making phone calls, exhibit good communication skills and empathy. Ideal position for people who have healed from their own loss or for students going into a counseling field.
St. Francis provides all the training you will need to be a companionship volunteer, all you need to bring is your compassionate heart!

St. Francis Reflections of Lifestage Care is Brevard’s longest-serving, and only independent, interfaith, non-profit hospice care resource. Founded in 1977, Hospice of St. Francis continues to meet the community need for higher levels of care, understanding, and compassion for patients nearing the end of their lives. St. Francis serves all of Brevard County by providing compassionate care to patients and families wherever they call home.
