Help create and promote a caring, compassionate, efficient environment for patients, families and visitors of the Emergency Department and Regional Medical Center. Greet visitors in a prompt and courteous manner recognize and assist with immediate/potential needs related to person comfort and provide directions/escort. Serve as a communication link between guests and other staff.

Description

First established as a private hospital in 1919, the Regional Medical Center (RMC) has grown into a regional healthcare system with a 286-bed acute care hospital and 23 primary care and specialty care practices. Owned by Orangeburg and Calhoun counties, the non-profit hospital has more than 100 physicians on staff, over 1,200 employees and 150 volunteers. RMC is clinically affiliated with MUSC Health, South Carolina’s most nationally recognized and comprehensive academic medical center, to further enhance select healthcare services for patients in the region.

  • Good hearing and listening skills; Ability to walk, stand, push and pull for majority of shift; Occasional exposure to cold, heat and varying weather elements as patients are transported to awaiting party just outside of main hospital entrance.
