Looking for volunteer opportunities? The LSP Trailblazers are still hard at work to improve the park's native habitats even when the weather gets cold!
This program is recommended for adults and families with children ages 10 and older. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the event.
Pre-registration is required. For more information or to register for a volunteer day, please call 201-915-3400 x202 or email LSPNatureCenter@dep.nj.gov. Groups of more than six, please call first.

Description
Located on the southern shores of the New York/New Jersey Harbor Estuary, Liberty State Park is significant as both a natural and historic cultural resource. The park provides numerous opportunities for visitors to enjoy and learn about nature in an otherwise predominantly urban setting.

- We recommend that you wear dress to be outdoors, wear sturdy shoes, and bring work gloves if you have them. Gloves and tools will be provided. Bringing water is also recommended.
