Join Jumpstart during A Child's Dream Holiday Outreach and Resource Fair, where we will be reading with children, engaging in activities such as animal track identifying and arctic scene creating. Please email Yadira Montoya at yadira.montoya@jstart.org for more information. We ask that volunteers sign up no later than 12/11/18.
A Child’s Dream-CA works under served communities in Los Angeles and surrounding cities and gives out hundreds of backpacks filled with school supplies, along with clothes, shoes, food and basic essentials during special community events and distribution.

Description
Each year, one third of America's children arrive on their first day of school without the skills necessary to succeed at grade level. When children begin behind their peers, catching up, especially without additional assistance, is difficult and unlikely. By focusing on enriching the education of preschool students from disadvantaged communities, Jumpstart is making sure every child has a chance at success. Jumpstart is a national nonprofit dedicated to inspiring children to learn, adults to teach, families to get involved, and communities to progress together.
