COLUMBUS LITTER LEAGUE 2020 is a competitive volunteer initiative with a baseball theme to remove visible litter from main arteries and neighborhood streets city-wide. Sponsored by Keep Columbus Beautiful, the City of Columbus, The Columbus Clippers and Encova Insurance. The League season runs from Saturday, April 4 to Saturday, June 27, 2020. Businesses, faith-based organizations, civic clubs, neighborhoods and youth may form a team, select a Division in which to play (North, South, East, and West) and select a Team Captain.
An area of need is assigned to each team, all equipment and supplies provided, and teams commit to play two games a month ( clean up twice a month) . The Columbus Clippers and Encova Insurance will host special events for League teams during the season at Huntington Park. Maximum 20 players per team and players may be rotated. Columbus Litter League is family-friendly.
Two 30lb trash bags equals one run. Teams report their stats after every game and teams compete for an award within their Division. Awards are presented on Sunday, June 28 on the field of Huntington Park.
Individual volunteers may register as a FREE AGENT and will be assign to a team.
This is a fun and important way to ensure our city remains clean, safe and beautiful.
