Chrysalis is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a pathway to self-sufficiency for homeless and low-income individuals by providing the resources and support needed to find and retain employment. The men and women who turn to Chrysalis often have multiple barriers to finding employment including homelessness, limited education, criminal records and substance abuse issues. Since 1984, we have assisted over 51,000 people on the path to self-sufficiency at three centers throughout Los Angeles County where poverty and homelessness are most pervasive: downtown Los Angeles, Santa Monica, and Pacoima in the San Fernando Valley.
Chrysalis volunteers play an integral role in our clients' success and provide direct services. They facilitate job readiness classes, provide computer skills training, prepare resumes and help clients practice their interview skills.
All Chrysalis volunteers will be required to attend an information session, receive training and ongoing evaluation, agree to confidentiality terms, and commit to a weekly schedule for at least 3 months.
If you are interested in volunteering please fill out the Volunteer Application From on http://www.changelives.org/volunteer
