Empower girls in your community as a Girls on the Run coach this spring! Coach openings at Copper Beech Elementary. Coaches can be male or female, runners or walkers! Coaches must be 18 years or older. Coaches are trained before the season begins and must submit background clearances prior to the first practice.
Season begins the week of Monday, March 2nd 2020 and concludes with our celebratory 5K on Saturday, May 30th, 2020. Teams consist of 8-18 girls in 3rd-5th grades, accompanied by 2-3 coaches per day. Teams practice twice per week after school for 90 minutes (Tues/Thurs 3:30-5PM.) Coaches are responsible for setting up for lessons, leading practices, encouraging girls, and serving as positive role models all season long!

Description
Girls on the Run is a 10-week after-school program serving girls in Montgomery, Chester, and Delaware Counties, PA. We use the power of running to educate and prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K event.
