Good morning, friends!
This is Ait Fetterolf, your friendly neighborhood Volunteer & Screening Coordinator for the 2020 Film Independent Spirit Awards.
I wanted to reach out and invite you to sign up for one of our volunteer orientations in the next few weeks for the 2020 Film Independent Spirit Awards.
Our orientation dates are December 5th and December 12th at 6:30PM, but if you can't make those, email me and it's possible that we can work something out.
Like in previous years, we also have plenty of unpaid internship opportunities available that we can discuss further at the orientation dates. I'm particularly interested in anyone who would be interested in interning with me in the Volunteer department.
If you've never volunteered with Film Independent before: Simply go to https://www.shiftboard.com/filmindependent/register.html and register to volunteer with us. Then, you'll be assigned to the requisite team and be able to sign up for one of our orientation sessions in the Calendar menu on Shiftboard.
If you've previously volunteered with Film Independent: In order to get added to the team "2020 Spirit Awards Volunteer Registrations," you'll have to re-register with Shiftboard using the same email with which you previously logged into Shiftboard, same as in previous years. Then, I'll add you to the requisite team; from there, you can sign up for one of the two orientation dates.

We produce the Film Independent Spirit Awards, recognizing the finest achievements of American independent filmmakers, the LA Film Festival, showcasing select new works from emerging and established independent storytellers, Film Independent at LACMA, a year-round, weekly program that offers unique cinematic experiences including the acclaimed Live Read series.
Our Artist Development program offers free labs for selected writers, directors, producers and documentary filmmakers and presents year-round networking opportunities. Project Involve is our signature program dedicated to fostering the careers of talented filmmakers from communities traditionally underrepresented in the film industry.
Anyone passionate about film can become a Member, whether you are a filmmaker, industry professional or a film lover.
