Description

NAMI Charleston Area provides free classes, support groups, and programs to Berkeley, Charleston, Dorchester, Georgetown, and Horry Counties. A list of the programs we offer are below. For more detailed information about the programs, please go to our website or contact us.

We have several volunteer opportunities. Some of the volunteer opportunities require a personal connection with mental health through your own mental health condition or a loved one's, such as support group facilitators, class instructors, and presentations. We have other volunteer positions, such as administrative help answering calls and emails, fundraising, newsletter writing or editing, and outreach to the community. Help us reduce the stigma associated with mental illness and show our support to those dealing with issues related to mental health conditions!

These are the free NAMI programs we offer in our service area: Basics, Family-to-Family, Provider Education, Peer to Peer, Connection Support Group, Family Support Group Program, Crisis Intervention Team Training, NAMI Ending the Silence, and In Our Own Voice.
