Four years ago we had a vision to reconnect with our community during the holidays while bringing our Mission and Values to life. The birth of Winter Wonderland has provided 200 families in the Excelsior, Chinatown and Bayview neighborhoods of San Francisco an evening of fun, generosity and a renewed faith in the true human spirit. We have you to THANK for this incredible impact.

ABOUT WINTER WONDERLAND

Our 4th Winter Wonderland is just less than 1 week away and we need your passion, energy, and generosity more than ever. Each year, United Way Bay Area’s Emerging Leaders group host the annual Winter Wonderland event to bring together local families. With help from our SparkPoint partner, Union City Family Center, we will provide gifts for more than 50 wish lists. UCFC engages and empowers 2,000+ children, youth and families in the community to utilize their full potential. If you are unable to attend but would like to be a part of the fun, there is an opportunity to sponsor a child’s wish list.

STEPS TO ADOPTING A YOUTH OR FAMILY

1. Create a profile on Roonga, it takes 1 minute and you control your data. Vist here to select a family https://www.roonga.com/elwinterwonderland

2. Browse through the different families and youth. Select a youth or family that fits your budget. We will get a notification and so will you.

3. Purchase the gift request (or similar) from the wish list. Send gift directly to the Union City Family Center addressed to youth or contact Anton (atimms@uwba.org) for pick-up.

4. Attend the party and potentially meet that family. You are welcome to bring your gift to the event on 12/10 at 5:30pm too.Yummy food and good times are to be had

This year, in partnership with Oakland Raider’s star safety Johnathan Abram and the United Way of the Bay Area, we bring Winter Wonderland to the Union City Kids’ Zone ( http://unioncityfamilycenter.org/).

Emerging Leaders is a growing network of philanthropic young professionals (age 40 and under) committed to fighting Bay Area poverty, with a focus on educating and empowering youth. We will once again provide an unforgettable evening to over 50 families and I hope that you join us on December 10th as a family sponsor and/or volunteer. Deadline to select a wishlist is December 5.
