Job Description

Position: Volunteer Driver

Supervisor: Wellness Center Lead/Self-Help Manger

Summary of Position:

Goals of the Position:

Specific Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Attends scheduled meetings with supervisor to prioritize work tasks.
  • Assists mental health consumers in accessing community resources as needed.
  • Providing appropriate transportation services.
  • Escorting to community resources and assisting client with needed application processes.
  • Acting as a role model for clients in a non-judgmental, objective manner.
  • Performs other duties, which may be requested by supervisor.

The following skills are required to fulfill the position’s specific program responsibilities and are key elements of employee evaluation.

  • Desire to learn.
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Good written skills

Specific position qualification:

  • Valid NJ Drivers License with reliable transportation

  • Driver's License Needed
  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 25
  • Offering nightly transportation on designated group nights (approximately 5 hours per shift-split) Monday, Tuesday, and/or Thursday. Shift split: 130-4pm for pick ups and 8-10:30pm for drop offs
  • Willingness and eagerness to assist others in need. Non-judgmental and positive regard for individuals in Ocean County seeking to retain and obtain their wellness and recovery.
