Job Description
Position: Volunteer Driver
Supervisor: Wellness Center Lead/Self-Help Manger
Summary of Position:
Goals of the Position:
Specific Areas of Responsibilities:
- Attends scheduled meetings with supervisor to prioritize work tasks.
- Assists mental health consumers in accessing community resources as needed.
- Providing appropriate transportation services.
- Escorting to community resources and assisting client with needed application processes.
- Acting as a role model for clients in a non-judgmental, objective manner.
- Performs other duties, which may be requested by supervisor.
The following skills are required to fulfill the position’s specific program responsibilities and are key elements of employee evaluation.
- Desire to learn.
- Good Communication Skills
- Good written skills
Specific position qualification:
- Valid NJ Drivers License with reliable transportation

- Offering nightly transportation on designated group nights (approximately 5 hours per shift-split) Monday, Tuesday, and/or Thursday. Shift split: 130-4pm for pick ups and 8-10:30pm for drop offs
- Willingness and eagerness to assist others in need. Non-judgmental and positive regard for individuals in Ocean County seeking to retain and obtain their wellness and recovery.
