Spanish Speaking Caregiver Support Group Facilitator Do you have a passion for working with seniors? Has your family been impacted by Alzheimer's or dementia and you would like to give back? Do you have professional experience working with caregivers or families impacted by Alzheimer's or dementia? Support group facilitators create a safe, open environment where people share their feelings, thoughts, and experiences in a combined effort to better cope with and manage the shared problems with dementia. Online training, in-person observation, and ongoing support will be provided by the Alzheimer's Association.

Description

The Alzheimer’s Association - Heart of America Chapter is the premier source of information and support for the 50,000 individuals and 200,000 family members and care partners living with dementia in our service area. Through our bi-state network of offices, the Heart of America Chapter offers a broad range of programs and services, including a 24-hour Helpline (800.272.3900), at no cost to families. We fund advancements in research to prevent, treat and ultimately conquer this disease and, with our volunteers, raise awareness of, and advocate for, the needs and rights of people with dementia.
