Boys Hope Girls Hope (BHGH) is an academic non-profit that helps youth reach their fullest potential beginning in sixth grade through completion of a four-year college degree.
Part of our program is helping provide our scholars with mentors who can bring new experiences and exploration of all the world has to offer through fun and exciting enrichment activities.
This is the perfect opportunity to build a 1:1 connection with a scholar through activities like going out to a sports game, movie, museum, and other various events while also engaging in weekly communication to build a safe, trusting, and supportive relationship.
As a mentor at BHGH, we provide support to you with video trainings on youth development and tools to be a good mentor, events with fellow mentors, monthly newsletters with things to do, group events and occasional free tickets, and more to make sure YOU are successful!
Reach out to us for more information by completing the interest form here, or sending an email to the Volunteer Manager at mwilmoth@bhgh.org.
*Mentors MUST be 21 years or older, able to pass a background check and driving record check. Mentors are asked to make a minimum commitment of 1 year which will asked to be recommitted each year*

Description
Boys Hope Girls Hope is a non-profit, multi-denominational and multi-ethnic organization, which provides scholarships to meet all of the needs for academically capable youth who may be held back by invisible barriers within their families or community.
Our residential and community-based programs offer comprehensive services and support systems that nurture the self-confidence, discipline and focus required to test children's academic limits and allow them to achieve dreams they once thought were out of their reach.
All scholars receive full educational scholarships to private college-prep schools, mentoring, tutoring, access to multiple enrichment activities and support through college.
