SCOPE OF JOB DUTIES

Our Camp Planning Committee is seeking an individual with a background in supporting children with special needs who is interested in helping to support childhood cancer patients and survivors at our 2022 Overnight Camp:

2022 Overnight Camp, ages 7-17, 8/14-8/20, Groton, MA

Prior to your camp session, you will be responsible for working with your Program Director to review camper records, identify potential behavioral challenges, and suggest solutions to best support these children during the week of camp. During your camp session, you will serve as a member of the camp’s Leadership Team, providing additional support where needed to help children with behavioral challenges thrive in the camp environment. Most importantly, you will get the unique opportunity to help give childhood cancer patients and survivors an incredible week of camp: experiencing independence, having fun, and building friendships to last a lifetime.

REQUIREMENTS & COMMITMENT

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, pass a background check, and have demonstrated experience working with children with special needs. Applicants must be able to commit to help with this role through the execution of the camp week they select (August for Overnight Camp). Most volunteer work can be done remotely throughout the year, but applicants must be able to commit to attending every day of the week-long camp.

All participants must be up-to-date on all immunizations at the time of camp, including COVID-19.
