ORGANIZATION: Reading Connections, Inc

Family Literacy

Our Family Literacy program helps parents improve their basic English skills so that they can help their children succeed in school. While parents are in class, children explore age-appropriate literacy activities, including children's books, crafts, and STEAM activities.

We are currently looking for volunteers to help care for children ages 0-5 on Tuesdays (11 a.m.-1 p.m.) and Thursdays (12 p.m.-2 p.m.) at a local community center. We ask that volunteers commit to at least one 2-hour class per week for ten weeks. We are looking for volunteers who are available between March 2 and May 28.

For more information, please contact Alison Welch, Family Literacy Manager: awelch@readingconnections.org, 336-279-7261.
