Jodie Randolph Dance (JRD) is seeking qualified board members who will be asked to attend quarterly meetings, fundraising events, serve on one committee, be an advocate for the organization, and assist the board in carrying out its fiduciary responsibilities (reviewing the monthly and annual financial statements and fundraising). Interested individuals should have an interest in dance and a drive to help us achieve fundraising goals. JRD (based in Ann Arbor, MI) has a nine-year history of making dance accessible to southeast Michigan communities and beyond. Founded in 2012 as a way to showcase Jodie’s work, the company quickly grew into a thriving organization! Since 2013, we have been showcasing professional dance annually in southeast Michigan. The vision of JRD is to cultivate curiosity and courage through dance. We believe these two building blocks develop the confidence and creative problem-solving skills that can leave a lasting impact on the conflicts that exist in our world. Collaboration is a highlight of our creative process. We dive into the complexities of the human experience and are especially intrigued by stories and histories of those involved in our process, whether performer or spectator. We believe dance can change the world and have a genuine excitement for creating dance that engages our community. Our mission is to create public performances and workshops that inspire people to see and be seen.
